Veil Beading
Since 1895, Swarovski® (pronounced swa-rov-skee) has set the standard for superior crystals. Defined by their perfect facets and deep luster, the various Swarovski® jewels and pearls we hand select for our veils are second to none. Each tiny bead is then painstakingly hand placed by our skilled Makers to ensure their beauty shines through.
Bicone Jewels
If you’ve ever wondered what a “bicone” is, you’re not alone. Bicone jewels are a shape of Swarovski® crystal that twinkles in the light with a true crystal sparkle, but doesn’t have the “bling” effect created by traditional rhinestones. Often reserved for jewelry creations, bicone jewels look equally stunning shimmering on the layers of a veil.

Dewdrops
These gorgeous beads look like glimmering drops of water. They catch the light with a subtle reflection, but do not sparkle like crystal does. Our Makers place these resin beauties on both sides of the veil for a true glistening water droplet look. Note: dewdrops are not made of Swarovski® crystal.

Flat Pearls
These tiny flat pearls – a shape sometimes called a cabochon – are a lovely way to add a touch of pearl to a veil without making a statement like our larger round pearls do. Our Makers place these tiny treasures on both sides of the tulle for a truly luxe effect.

Flat Jewels
When we first saw how these jewels catch the light, we fell in love. Similar in shape to our rhinestones, but without the mirrored backing, these Swarovski® crystals are applied upside down for maximum impact. Something about the way the light reflects when they are placed this way – more sparkle than a bicone, but not as much as a rhinestone – captured our hearts.

Rhinestones
The rhinestone is the quintessential bridal adornment, and no one does them better than Swarovski®. Sparkling like tiny diamonds, these beads feature a unique mirrored backing that bounces the light throughout the many facets of the perfectly cut crystal. This is bridal sparkle at it’s very best and brightest.

Round Pearls
No one does faux pearls better than Swarovski®. Unlike most created pearls (which are typically spray painted chips of plastic), these beauties start with a core of real Swarovski® crystal which is then dipped many, many times in their proprietary pearlescent coating. This technique slowly builds up durability, depth, and luster that can only be matched by Mother Nature.

Sequins
In the fashion world there are sequins… and then there are the kind of sequins we use here at Sara Gabriel. We want our sequins to be perfectly round with no jagged edges, high quality, and with a beautiful clean reflection. These reflective baubles check all of those boxes. Note: sequins are not made of Swarovski® crystal.
